For participants

A short, paid conversation about your work.

If you’ve been invited to a Neothread study, here’s who we are, what the conversation involves, and what happens to what you share.

Usually 5 to 15 minutes · in your browser · paid for your time

01What to expect

You choose whether to take part, and when to stop.

Who we are

Neothread Research runs research interviews for companies that want to understand their market better. We’re based in Toronto.

Who asked for the study

Every study has a sponsor: the company that asked for it. They’re named in your invitation, before you share anything.

What the conversation is

A voice conversation in your browser with an interview agent, an AI that asks questions and follows up on your answers. Most take 5 to 15 minutes. It’s recorded and transcribed, and you’re told so before it starts.

What it isn’t

It isn’t a sales call, and nobody will pitch you during it. You can stop at any time.

Your time

Studies pay for your time, usually with a gift card once you finish. Your invitation says how much.

Who sees what

The sponsor receives the research findings and is told that you took part. Anything published is combined with other conversations and anonymous.

Afterwards

At the end, you’re asked whether you’d like to hear from the sponsor about what you discussed. The sponsor may still contact you; if you’d rather they didn’t, tell us at [email protected] and we’ll pass that on.

Your information

We’re responsible for your information and we never sell it. We don’t collect health information, and you can ask us to see, correct or delete what we hold at any time. The research privacy notice has the details.
